Woodland Gold

The inspiration for this print came from a trail close to my home. The Columbia Lily is native to this region and, in summer, they shine from the shaded woodland along the local trails, like gold.

This reduction linocut was carved and printed by hand from a single block, each colour printed individually. You can see more on this process here.

As a result of the technique by which reduction prints are made, minor variations are possible and are what makes each print in the edition a ‘unique art piece’.
