Night coming in on a summer night. Storm clouds, gathering as if under a furrowed brow, try to obscure the sun, still blazing, even as it slowly sinks behind distant mountains.
This reduction linocut, was carved and printed by hand from a single block, each colour printed individually. You can see more on this process here.
As a result of the technique by which reduction prints are made, minor variations are possible and are what makes each print in the edition a ‘one of a kind’ art piece.
