The inspiration for this piece came from the local hillsides of the area where I live, in the West Kootenay region of British Columbia. The snow is gone and the hills come to life in pale greens and browns.
This reduction linocut was carved and printed by hand from a single block, each colour printed individually.

As a result of the technique by which reduction prints are made, minor variations are possible and are what makes each print in the edition
a ‘one of a kind’ art piece.
